Izmir tulum cheese is a local product of Izmir and Aegean region. It is also called Bergama tulum in the region. This very rich flavored product is made from sheep, goat or cow's milk depending on the season or demand. It is produced naturally with the addition of table salt by using natural milk and syden yeast in its production. After this product is transformed into cheese, it is optionally pressed into tin or goat skin. It is processed differently from Erzincan tulumun and produced and packaged in block molds. The product is rich in protein and contains vitamins B2, B6, B9 and B12. Its main health benefits include anemia, dental health, osteoporosis and blood pressure. It is a product with a very rich aroma that helps to regulate our digestive system and strengthen our immune system. After the product is packaged, it is offered for sale after being kept in cold storage for 6 to 9 months to be matured and fermented.
